My name is Joni Christiansen and I have been employed with Absaroka Head Start for 15 years! I started my journey with Head Start as a parent and sub in the classroom, my first employment position was as a cook and soon after I was a teacher aide. I was promoted to lead teacher and center supervisor. For the past 5 years, I have worked in the administrative office assisting the component managers, creating inventories, and helping design and upgrade classrooms with high quality furniture and materials.

I am currently a Regional Coordinator for the Basin and Worland centers, completing classroom observations and assisting with any needs they have. I am also fortunate enough to be able to coach and mentor teaching staff in our agency, guiding them to provide the highest quality environment to the children and families we serve. I began taking college classes and obtained my Associates degree in Early Childhood Education while teaching, and when I joined the administrative office, I enrolled to complete my Bachelors degree in Family Consumer Sciences- Professional Child Development and can proudly say I received my degree in August of 2021!
